Throughout his entire high school career, Stevie Elam has only continued to greatly develop his game. With this the guard’s recruitment has only continued to greatly build throughout this year for the 6’2” 2025 guard of Adrian High School (MI) and The Academy.
He had a tremendous grassroots season playing with The Academy over the spring and summer where he was named MVP of the 16U level of the NY2LA Association. This tremendous play has continued into his junior high school season as he is currently averaging 29 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists per game to help lead Adrian to a 6-1 record.
Back in June, Central Michigan became the first school to offer Elam. Since then, Ferris State, Northwood University, and Wayne State, have all extended offers to him. In addition, Eastern Michigan, Grand Valley State, High Point, Saginaw Valley State, Toledo, Tulsa, and Western Michigan are all among the schools recruiting the junior.
With his growing recruitment, Elam has taken a couple of visits in recent months including to Central Michigan and Western Michigan. “The visit as Western Michigan went amazing,” Elam said. “Great coaches and a great environment. Got to watch the team practice and overall was a great day.” Regarding his other visit, he said “The visits at Central Michigan have been really well. I really enjoy the times that I’ve been there. They have a great team, awesome environment, extraordinary coaching staff, and a very disciplined team.”
For the rest of his junior season, Elam is looking to “win a conference championship, district championship, and to make it far in the state tournament.”
