After a recent visit, Jaquan Stennis Jr. has added another scholarship offer to his growing list. While he is just entering his sophomore year of high school, the 6’7” forward of Old Redford and the Michigan Hurricanes is already nearing double digit scholarship offers, including multiple from high major programs.
The latest offer for Stennis came from Xavier. “I had a great time at Xavier,” Stennis said about the visit which was his first one. “I met the coaches and met head coach Sean Miller. Love him and the rest of the guys on the staff, made me feel like home. It was fun and had a great experience.”
While it is early in his recruitment, there are already multiple things Stennis likes about Xavier. “I like that Xavier is basically just a basketball school so all the focus is really on basketball so we can get the job done. They can make us better for the pros and get to the next level.”
In addition to his offer from Xavier, the other schools to have offered him are Arizona, Eastern Michigan, Georgia State, Indiana, Kent State, Penn State, UMass, and Wisconsin. Additionally, Michigan has also offered the two-sport standout in football.
“I can pass, shoot, dribble, defend, basically everything a coach can ask me to do I can get the job done,” Stennis said talking about his game. While Xavier was his first visit, he is looking forward to taking more coming up soon.
