Tournament after tournament, month after month, Corey Pittman proved to be one of the top 2025 guards on the NY2LA Association this past season. On both ends of the floor, the 6’1” junior guard proved to be a dominant player with REACH Legends.
“My season with REACH was great, we developed over the spring, summer and ended up getting a lot of wins,” Pittman said about his grassroots season. With Pittman, REACH Legends was one of the better teams at the 16U level on the NY2LA Association which included a quarterfinals appearance at The Final Chapter championships to end the season.
When asked about his own game, Pittman said “very aggressive on both sides of the ball.” He added in “Putting pressure while on defense and getting to my shot on any spot of the court. While also getting my teammates involved setting up plays to get them open.” There are few 2025 guards that consistently showed his playmaking ability offensively as well as with his shut down perimeter defensive play.
With his play the recruitment for Pittman has started to grow with schools from multiple levels. A couple of the schools showing the most interest currently include Marian University and Michigan Tech. For his upcoming junior season at West Bloomfield High School (MI), he is looking to “lead my team on both sides of the ball and to end the season with a great impact on everybody.
