After an electric spring playing with The Academy, Stevie Elam just received his first scholarship offer. The offer came earlier this week from an in-state MAC school for the 6’2” 2025 guard of Adrian High School (MI). He is coming off his sophomore high school season in which he averaged 21 points to earn himself first team all-county honors.

Central Michigan became the first program to extend an offer to Elam. “It feels great,” he said about receiving the offer. “All the hours in the gym, sacrifices, not partying to get shots up is starting to pay off. Staying focused has helped me elevate my game, but I have lots of more work to do to continue to get better.”

While Elam has not taken a visit to Central Michigan, he is looking forward to doing so soon. Though, there are already a few things he is very high on them about. “I love Central Michigan from the coaching staff to the facilities, it’s just all great. And the players are very cool people.”

As well to the offer, there are several programs recruiting Elam. Eastern Michigan, Saginaw Valley State, Siena, Toledo, Wayne State, and Western Michigan are amongst the group. This week coaches can see Elam at the Summer Jam in Ohio and then the Final Chapter in Wisconsin the week after.
