Indianapolis was the place to be this past weekend. Here are a few names breaking onto the scene as well as some familiar ones growing their recruitment stock.
Taray Howell – 2024 – PG – D1 Indiana
Howell is a quick playmaking point guard who can really get into the paint often. On Sunday he was taking over the game times while scoring 19 points and also distributing the ball at a high rate. He shoots it well off the dribble from all over, has good vision, and is a crafty finisher around the paint.
Joel Foxwell – 2024 – PG – Recruiting Boost Australia
Along with Tiernan Stynes, the point guard formed a very talented duo for this Australian squad. As well to being strong with the ball and running the point effectively, Foxwell can also really score the ball having himself a 27-point game. He maneuvers extremely well with the ball on the attack finishing well all around the paint as well to shooting the ball well off the dribble.
Adrian Johnson – 2024 – PF – Bayou City Hoops
A high upside player who has a nice blend of strength, size standing at 6’8”, and versatile skills. He showed a nice ability to score playing with his back to the basket finishing strong through or over defenders, but he can also play out on the perimeter. For his size, Johnson handles the ball and moves well to be a very tough matchup.
Alex Keizer – 2024 – SF – ET21 Buckeyes
One day one of the tournament Keizer scored 18 points hitting four threes and ended the tournament on Sunday going 6-8 from three to be one of the top shooters of the tournament. The strong 6’5” forward was always ready to shoot out on the perimeter and showed a good shot selection.
Jaiden Martin – 2024 – SG – Team Haliburton
Martin is a skilled scorer who plays with good energy and toughness. On Sunday he showed his knockdown shooting ability doing so off the dribble and catch on his way to a 17-point game but can also use his strength to get all the way to the bucket. His energy and length show on the defensive end where he gets all over opposing guards and can shut them down.
Brayden Moeves – 2024 – SG – Moss Elite
Moeves was a standout on Sunday scoring 18-points to cap off an undefeated weekend for Moss Elite. Moeves has a pure shooting stroke hitting threes at a high percentageas well as going 5-5 from the free throw line. An active guard who stands at 6’3” and knows how to play.
Will O’Shields – 2023 – SG – All In Athletics
After winning a state championship with DePaul Prep this past season, the 6’3” wing guard is off to a good start this spring. He scored the ball efficiently all weekend long including a 16-point game to help his All In team go 4-0. A playmaker with good length than can knock down threes, plays well off the dribble getting all the way to the rim, and defends the ball well.
Brian Sullivan Jr. – 2024 – SG – Marshall Warriors
Sullivan was one of the more impressive guards of the tournament with a 21-point game on Friday. He is a guard with good tools with his length, athleticism, and play off the dribble. Sullivan is an explosive guard that moves so well with the ball getting into the paint and finishing at a high rate.
Will Strandemo – 2024 – PG – MN Comets Elite
A smart point guard that plays his role well. He has all the point guard tools with his strong handle, reading the floor, ability to get into the paint, and passing. He makes everyone around him better creating for his teammates as well he scored it himself pulling up in the mid-range and getting into the paint.
