While Durral Brooks entered the spring as one of the more sought after 2024 guards in the Midwest, his stock has only continued to grow from there. While playing with The Family, the 6’2” point guard of Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School, has picked up a pair of prominent offers recently.

Entering the spring, Brooks held offers from Oakland, Southern Indiana, and Toledo. Since then, both in-state Big Ten programs; Michigan and Michigan State have extended an offer to him. Grand Valley State and Western Michigan have also offered recently.

After averaging 16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals during his sophomore year, his game only continued to improve. During the EYBL this spring, Brooks averaged 18.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game.

When talking about the offers from the in-state schools, Brooks said “It’s cool having them be in state schools but I wouldn’t say they hold more importance than any other schools that recruit me. I want to go wherever is best for me whether it’s in state or on the other side of the country.”

Brooks recently took a visit to Michigan State this week. “Michigan State was good, got to meet more of the team.” As well as the visit to East Lansing, he will be visiting Iowa State, Loyola-Chicago, Marquette, Ohio State, and Purdue this summer.
