Plenty of players from the 15U level at this year’s Swish N’ Dish boosted their recruitment stock over the weekend. Here are some of them who helped themselves the most with their play.
Devin Brown – 2025 – F/C – Power 5
Brown is a strong presence inside and came up big in the championship game, scoring 23 points to capture the platinum title. All weekend he was overpowering defenders to finish everything around the basket. Brown was also one of the better rebounders of the 15U field. More than just a force inside, he has a good jumper hitting a few threes over the weekend.
Kelvion Brown – 2025 – F – Team GRIII
Brown is a physical and aggressive wing that plays with good energy. He scored the ball extremely well attacking the basket, just bullying his was to the basket and finishing strong right through defenders. He proved to be so tough to stop once he gets going downhill. A stat stuffer that was all over the court making plays for his team.
Stefan Cicic – 2025 – F/C – Mac Irvin Fire
A highly intriguing big man standing at 6’10”. Not only does he have the height but also a solid build. He scores with ease down inside finishing over both shoulders but can also step out and knock down jumpers. Cicic is also a very aggressive player on the glass and defending the paint.
Baraka Makalin – 2025 – G – Playmakers Showcase
The guard is a good decision maker with the ball and knows how to play. He is a skilled and versatile scorer that got it done in a number of ways from all three levels to put up points in a hurry. The high IQ guard moves well with the ball to get anywhere he wants on the floor and was shooting it well off the dribble.
Nico Quaranta – 2025 – PG – Mercury Elite
A crafty point guard with a good motor to get a lot done on the floor. He stood out most with his scoring ability, putting up 13 points in a single half. The freshman moves very well with the ball and sees the floor nicely to get to the basket and knows how to finish well. He did the bulk of his scoring on the attack but also has a smooth jumper spotting up from deep.
Andrew Rader – 2025 – F/C – Phenom University
The 6’9” big man has only continued to get better and better over the past year. Rader is a big force in the paint on both ends of the floor. He is strong and agile patrolling the defensive paint. Offensively, he has some good moves and moves his feet well but also can just overpower defenders and score right through or over them. Defiantly a big to track in the coming months.
Ethan Samuels – 2025 – G – Chi Prep Basketball
A smooth guard that plays well with or without the ball. Samuels can run the point but is also a marksman from the outside. He has great range and can hit shots at a high percentage off the catch and dribble. One of the more skilled scorers at the 15U level of the tournament.
Connor Smith – 2025 – PG – Mid Pro Academy
A playmaking point guard with plenty of skills. Smith showed a good ability to both score and distribute the basketball. He has good handle and was able to get into the paint often to create for himself and teammates with smart decision making. While he got a lot done off the dribble attacking, he can also knock down the three spotting up.
Jack Weigus – 2025 – G – Breakaway Basketball
One of the more skilled guards at the 15U level who showed a versatile skill set and high IQ. He is quick with the ball in his hands with good handle and plays well off the dribble as well as spotting up from deep. He has great form on his jumper and rarely missed when he had any space.
