The final day at the 2019 NY2LA Sports Summer Jam on Sunday was a fun day with some excellent competitive games. The teams finished up the bigger part of their summer season and players got to make a final push to help their squad, perform well, and get recruiting eyes on them even more leading into the fall and winter. Catch a recap below of several of Sunday’s top performers and those that boosted there stock more with their work on the courts.

TOP PERFORMERS 
MALIK ABDUL-WAHAD – 2020 – SF – RAY ALLEN SELECT 
Abdul-Wahad had a really strong close to the Summer Jam with a great early game and another steady effort in their final contest. He hit 3 three’s between the couple games, attacked the paint with control, threw down a slam driving the middle, and got to the free throw line where he went 7-for-8 in the first game. He finished through contact and rebounded the ball really well, and totaled 18 points and 11 points respectively in the two games. 

MAX CHRISTIE – 2021 – SG – ILLINOIS WOLVES
Christie was fantastic Sunday in helping the 17U Wolves team take home the top hardware. Christie drove to the rim with a variety of moves and from different spots, including a really nice baseline drive where he got to the rim, gathered himself and glided through contact from two defenders to finish on the glass with great balance. He hit 3 three's overall in a couple game to show his overall shooting ability and went 7-of-7 from the line in the championship game, and scored 13 in the semifinals and a game-high 25 points in the finale. 

FRANK JAKUBICEK – 2020 – F/C – QUAD CITY ELITE 
Jakubicek played awesome for Quad City in their semifinal matchup to help push them through to the title game. The rising post prospect showed versatility to step out and knock down a couple three's, and then power and touch around the paint, finishing excellently at and on the rim several times. His effort was good for 18 points and his rebounding on both ends of the floor were evident/effective in their wins over Phenoms and Ray Allen, as well as in the title game defeat versus the Wolves.

MATT KAZNIKOV – 2020 – SF – WOLVERINES
Kaznikov had a strong game again on Sunday for the Wolverines. Like his play Saturday, he was aggressive and really pressed the issue offensively going to the basket and getting to the free throw line. He went 8-for-8 there and hit a three and totaled 17 points in the contest.

DYLAN KEENAN – 2020 – SG – WOLVERINES
Keenan played well for the Wolverines, keeping strong with the ball in his hands and finding ways to score. He played well all around and hit several shots, tallying 17 points. 

DEREK LINDERT –2022 – G – RANDOLPH 
Lindert was excellent for the young Randolph team. He was in point from distance, hitting 3 three's in the game and then converted in a number of other lay-ins and shots. His scoring really put pressure on the defense throughout the game and he finished with 21 points. 

JORDAN RICE – 2021 – PG – QUAD CITY ELITE
Rice made a big splash Sunday in the final, as he made plays at each level of the offense and hit big shots to keep his team competitive to the finish. The sleek point guard blew by defenders at times and finished while twisting his body or the ball with great touch off the glass to put it in the hoop. He also drained 5 three's in the game and dropped a game-high 24 points. 

AJ STORR – 2022 – SF – ALL IN
Storr was excellent for All-In as he was one of their leading scorers and played with great energy. The young scoring forward hit some tough shots and was good from beyond the arc, making 2 three-pointers. Storr ended the day with 18 points for his team. 

MYSEAN VAUGHN – 2022 – G – ALL IN
Vaughn was also great for his team on Sunday, making good shots throughout the game and helping add pressure on the opponent with his scoring ability. He knocked down a couple three's, made some other plays with the ball in his hands and on the drive, and tallied 18 points in the game. 

STOCK BOOSTERS
MATT AMBROSE – 2020 – SG – QUAD CITY ELITE
Ambrose played really well for Quad City in making plays and impacting the game by playing aggressive and under control. He was strong with the ball and got to the free throw line often, knocking down 6 of his 7 attempts. Ambrose also hit a three and had 13 points in a contest. 

JAKE BUCHANAN – 2020 – PG – RAY ALLEN SELECT
Buchanan played pretty well again for Ray Allen as he was a constant focal point for the defense and drew attention which opened up opportunities for teammates. Still, Buchanan made plays attacking the hoop with his quickness and also drained a couple three's, good for 13 points. 

SCOTTY EBUBE – 2021 – PF – ILLINOIS WOLVES
Ebube played strong and was aggressive at the rim for the Wolves. The 2021 big man prospect overpowered on the glass with 9 rebounds, was good at the free throw line hitting both of his attempts, and was otherwise working the blocks and finishing off the glass nicely. He had 10 points to go with the rebounds and 4 blocks to protect the rim.

TYLER KIPLEY –2020 – PG – WOLVERINES
Kipley played well for the Wolverines. He made his lay-ups and was efficient, and he also drained 3 treys in the game to finish with 15 points.

LOGAN PEARSON – 2020 – PG – RAY ALLEN SELECT
Pearson finished the tournament on a high note, playing a good game and helping his team fight back from a deficit to make a late push. Pearson made some lay-ups but really made his impact with his outside shooting, knocking down 3 three’s with good confidence. He finished with 13 points.

SEAN PEETERS – 2020 – SF – QUAD CITY ELITE
Peeters was great throughout the day for QCE, using his athleticism and his energy to make plays and affect the games. He was steady in a couple of their victories with nice dunks and getting his hands on rebounds, and was finishing around the basket well in general. Peeters had 15 points in one of the games for his top output.

JOSHUA SMITH – 2021 – SG – ILLINOIS WOLVES
Smith was steady for the Wolves and gave them some quality at throughout the day Sunday. He made shots, he finished in transition a couple times and was drilling three-pointers.

DONOVAN SPARKS – 2020 – G – KEVON LOONEY ELITE
Sparks had a very good game for Kevon Looney's team and affected the game with his aggressive takes to the basket. He used his dribble and quickness to get to the rim and finished well when he got there, tallying 16 points.

DENHAM WOJCIK – 2020 – PG – ILLINOIS WOLVES
Wojcik played well again Sunday and continued to show why he is a coveted lead guard among some Division I programs and garnering more attention. He scored it consistently, passed the ball well and finished at the free throw line. He had 12 points and hit a couple three’s and helped control tempo when he was in.
