Elite can begin at any age as there are up and coming middle school prospects who standout out at an early age while a number of high school prospects may bloom into the very same after they physically develop.  One such talent who fits the former is 2020 SG Moses Moody of Montverde Academy (FL).

Equipped with a 6-5 180 pound plus frame, Moody is a classic scoring guard in the purest since of the word and that elite national potential has been there since his middle school years where he started his ascent with a number of scintillating performances in the NY2LA Sports Generation Next Basketball Association as a 7th grade hoops prodigy.  An Arkansas native now regarded as a top prospect nationally in the 2020 class, Moody is a long lean skilled perimeter shooting guard who’s shown high major impact potential already.

As a 7th grade standout Moody was an electric scoring talent who could flip the scoreboard in bunches.  The things have changed physically the more they’ve stayed the same skill wise as Moody is still regarded as an electric scorer on the national scene.  He excels in a catch and shoot capacity where he can rip the nets from well beyond the arc both consistency and efficiently.  He reads screens well and he uses angles and momentum to create easy scoring opportunities for himself from the perimeter.  Of the bounce he’s shown an improved ability to hit the mid-range pull up or even an occasional floater and he’s also finished through traffic in both half court sets and in transition.  Defensively his length and instincts give him an ability to pressure the basketball and jump the passing lanes while also being able to contest shots on occasion.  He has some solid athleticism and combined with his instincts and skill it’s easy to see why high major programs across the country are already filling up his recruiting trail nationally.

Florida, Auburn, Baylor, Arkansas, Florida State, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, SMU, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Texas, Texas A&M, Mississippi and Texas Tech have already offered.  Regarded as a top 50 prospect nationally and trending towards consensus top 25 status, Moody is primed for a big year and the talented sharpshooting guard from Arkansas stands to be one of the more coveted scoring prospects in the country over the next 12 plus months.

He plays with the Brad Beal Elite program during the grassroots travel season.
