The 2016 NY2LA Sports Final Chapter tips off in full swing from Las Vegas on Thursday. In the inaugural event, many of the nation’s top players and travel programs are slated to face off and in the evening the NY2LA Sports Summer Showdown

THURSDAY 17U GAMES TO WATCH IN THE FINAL CHAPTER
Swaghouse Elite vs. Wisconsin Swing – 9:05 AM – Court 1 – Durango HS
Two title favorites square off in Thursday’s opener. One of the nation’s top point guards Marcus Garrett leads Swaghouse Elite. The Swing will counter with their trio of Austin Arians, Chris Knight, and Ryan Krueger, all Division 1 prospects.
All-IN Y&R vs. Las Vegas Prospects – 10:10 AM – Court 1 – Durango HS
This will be a terrific matchup. All-In Y&R features two exciting guards Teyvion Krik and Demarius Jacobs who always seem to elevate their play against top competition. They’ll have to do just that against the Las Vegas Prospects. This loaded squad features four top 100 recruits in K.J. Hymes, Charles O’Bannon, Troy Brown Jr. ,and O’Shae Brissett.
I-Can All-Stars vs. Illinois Stars – 11:15 AM – Court 1 – Durango HS
Rising guard P.J. Pipes is having a great summer for the Illinois Stars. Pipes will match up with point guard Bryce Meadows, who is also a sleeper. Two teams that are loaded with hidden talent, this should be an exciting early test for both programs.
All-In Y&R vs. Swaghouse Elite – 12:20 PM – Court 1 – Durango HS
If you like guards, this is your game. Marcus Garrett of Swaghouse Elite will have to go through two outstanding guards in Teyvion Kirk and Demarius Jacobs. All-In Y&R will also throw intriguing big men Jameel Alausa and Manny Patterson, and sharpshooter Keaondre Schumacher at Swaghouse Elite as well.
Las Vegas Prospects vs. Wisconsin Swing – 1:25 – Court 1 – Durango HS
Two top heavy teams should provide an excellent 30 minutes of hoops. For the Swing, Chris Knight, Alex Arians, and Ryan Krueger will try and test themselves against the loaded Las Vegas Prospects and Charles O’Bannon, Troy Brown Jr., O’Shae Brissett, and K.J. Hymes.
Grassroots Hoops vs. Inland Empire – 3:35 PM – Court 2 – Durango HS
Grassroots Hoops is led by Jalen Suggs and Steffon Mitchell, but their supporting cast has also turned some heads. This high-flying bunch is definitely a threat to win the title. Inland Empire out of California will look to make their own statement on Thursday in this intriguing matchup.
Reach Legends vs. Minnesota Warriors – 3:35 – Court 1 – Durango HS
Two tournament sleepers meet in the afternoon. Reach Legends are led by their fantastic wing Keion Epps, who is the straw that stirs the drink in a variety of areas. Coming off a nice run in the NY2LA Summer Jam, the Minnesota Warriors have some intriguing bigs including Tyler Riemersma, Luke Loehr, and Alec Loehr.
THURSDAY 16U GAMES TO WATCH IN THE FINAL CHAPTER
Inland Empire vs. SYF Players – 9:05 AM – Eldorado HS – Court 1
The dynamic duo of Chase Adams and Zion Young take the stage in the 16U division. SYF has a great lineup that also features promising bigs Devonire Glass and Orlando Allen. Inland Empire also features a handful of sleepers from California that will put up a tough fight.
Wisconsin Swing vs. I-Can All-Stars – 10:10 AM – Eldorado HS – Court 1
Two of the heavyweights in the 16U division meet in the opener on Thursday. The Swing’s guard trio of Nick Klugg, Mason Steffen, and Mitch Listau have been fantastic this summer. The I-Can All-Stars have a deep and talented group that will challenge for the title this week.
Yanders Law vs. Quad City Elite – 12:20 PM – Eldorado HS – Court 1
Two of the NY2LA Association’s brightest young stars go toe-to-toe in this one. Yanders Law features high-scoring shooting guard Monty Johal who has been pretty much unstoppable this summer. Quad City Elite’s Lacey Watson will certainly be up to the challenge as one of the best two-way players in the league.
17U THURSDAY NY2LA SPORTS SUMMER SHOWCASE GAMES
Sports U vs. All-In Y&R – 5:00 PM – Court 1 – Durango HS
Nate Pierre-Louis and a deep Sports U squad tips things off on Thursday. Pierre-Louis holds roughly 20 offers and is one of the top uncommitted floor generals in the country. All-In Y&R has a few guards of their own that should be up to the challenge, including Teyvion Kirk and Demarius Jacobs.
Howard Pulley vs. Las Vegas Prospects – 6:05 PM – Court 1 – Durango HS
The stars will be out for this one. Howard Pulley is coming off a strong run in the NY2LA Summer Jam, reaching the title game. Gary Trent Jr., Brad Davison, Theo John, Tre Jones, and company form one of the strongest EYBL programs. The Las Vegas Prospects are loaded as well. Their core of O’Shae Brissett, Charles O’Bannon, K.J. Hymes, and Troy Brown Jr. can go toe-to-toe with anyone.
Team Loaded NC vs. Wisconsin Swing Litscher – 8:15 PM – Court 1 – Durango HS
The boys from Wisconsin are led by Alex Arians, Ryan Kreuger, and Chris Knight have been clicking as of late and will look to take down the always talented and deep Team Loaded NC, featuring a couple of promising 2018 prospects, Jarius Hamilton and Rechon Black.
Meanstreets EYBL vs. Swaghouse Elite – 9:20 PM – Court 1 – Durango HS
One of the nation’s top players, Brian Bowen will be on display in the nightcap. His running mate, Nojel Eastern, a four-star point guard will also be in the house for Meanstreets. Arguably the most underrated floor general in the country, Marcus Garrett, and Swaghouse Elite will try upend the Chicago powerhouse on Thursday.
16U THURSDAY NY2LA SPORTS SUMMER SHOWCASE GAMES
Iowa Barnstormers vs. Wisconsin Swing – 6:05 PM – Court 2 – Durango HS
The Iowa Barnstormers won the NY2LA Summer Jam last week. Their trio of A.J. Green, Joe Wieskamp, and Joey Hauser have shown the ability to take on anyone in the country. The Wisconsin Swing forms a strong solid trio of their own in the backcourt. Mitch Listau, Nick Klugg, and Mason Steffen have all elevated their player this summer.
Mac Irvin Fire vs. Sports U – 7:10 PM – Court 1 – Durango HS
This is a must-see matchup. Some of the top up and comers in the Midwest will be on display for Mac Irvin Fire. Ayo Dosunmu, Talen Horton-Tucker, Kahlil Whitney and others have been unstoppable most of the summer. The 16U Under Armour Association champions Sports U might have something to say about that. Sports U features the likes of Louis King, Nazreon Reid, Jahvon Quinerly, and Luther Muhammad, all top 100 players in the class of 2018.
SYF Players vs. Grassroots Hoops – 7:10 PM – Court 2 – Durango HS
Two of the top 2020 guards in the country will take the floor for Grassroots Hoops. Terry Locket and Jalen Suggs are future stars to know. Grassroots Hoops also features one of the most difficult matchups in the Midwest, Steffon Mitchell, and a strong core of high-flying players. SYF has a terrific backcourt in Chase Adams and Zion Young. Their frontcourt of Orlando Allen and Devonire Glass is also a dangerous combo.
Ramey Jets/United vs. Team Blaze – 8:15 PM – Court 2 – Durango HS
One of the top point guards in the country, Courtney Ramey, will be on display. His running mate Torrence Watson is also one of the most athletic wings in the nation. If you haven’t heard of Team Blaze yet, it’s time you did. A star waiting to be discovered, Musa Jallow, is a must-know prospect in the 2018 class.
