The spring travel season starting to heat up and with the April “live” evaluation period approaching in a couple weeks that means the debut of the brand new NY2LA Basketball Association travel circuit that will feature 15U-17U teams competing for the league supremacy and more during critical evaluation periods this spring and summer.  In its inaugural campaign the league is set to feature teams from Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, and Indiana. 

76 teams will be competing in the three age groups with teams participating in events during four different live periods (2 Spring & 2 Summer) in tournaments that will also offer up open division formats for other teams to participate as well.  Here’s a look at the teams and the events that will make up this year’s NY2LA Basketball Association platform…

17U DIVISION (32 Teams)

The teams will compete in divisional play in Minnesota and Texas respectively during both spring “live” periods.  They will then hit the hardwood in July to compete for the league championships at the Next Level Invitational in Wisconsin before wrapping their spring and summer travel season at The Final Chapter in Las Vegas, Nevada!  Here’s a brief look at the 2016 schedule of events for the inaugural NY2LA Basketball Association…

SPRING EXTRAVAGANZA
April 15-17, 2016 – Minneapolis, MN
The NY2LA Sports Spring Extravaganza will play host to the opening session of the NY2LA Basketball Association and it will also feature an open division as well for boy’s 15U-17U teams.  The tournament is once again certified for NCAA Division 1 College Coaches to attend and all the NY2LA Basketball Association teams will be in attendance along with an open division that will feature an additional 40 teams at the 17U level, 32 teams at the 16U level, and 32 teams at the 15U level.   

LONE STAR INVITATIONAL
April 22-24, 2016 – Dallas, TX
Session 2 of the NY2LA Basketball Association will head to the great state of Texas where all the teams will once again hit the hardwood in division play during this first year platform.  The event is certified for NCAA Division 1 College Coaches to attend and all the NY2LA Basketball Association teams will be in attendance along with an open division at the 16U & 17U age groups.  

NEXT LEVEL INVITATIONAL 
July 6-10, 2016 – Milwaukee, WI
The annual platform to tip off the NCAA “live” evaluation period for Division 1 college coaches in July returns again this summer and this year it will play host to the championships for the inaugural NY2LA Basketball Association campaign.  The event is once again eligible for NCAA certification and all the NY2LA Basketball Association teams will be in attendance along with an open division for boy’s 14U-17U teams as well.  

THE FINAL CHAPTER
July 20-24, 2016 – Las Vegas, NV
The NY2LA Basketball Association will wrap its inaugural campaign with an open division tournament in exciting Las Vegas, Nevada during the final viewing period for Division 1 college coaches in July.  This first year tournament will feature an open division tournament format for boy’s 15U-17U teams.  NY2LA Basketball Association teams from the 16U & 17U age groups will be in attendance along with some from the 15U age group as well.  The tournament is open to all teams (i.e. independent & shoe sponsored from any brand) to participate.
