When the GNBA Championships concluded Sunday, only a few teams finished with a win in the 7th grade division, but several players had big days for their teams in competing for those championship victories. Deontay Long was again awesome, Tremayne Martin had an outstanding day for Future Elite and Xzavier Jones showed his versatility for Playground Elite also. Other players also had top-level performances at the Championships though, and below you can catch a recap of the top ten performers from the final day of the 2014 GNBA season...

TOP PERFORMERS
ROBERT ANDERSON - 2019 - SG - MILWAUKEE SPARTANS

Anderson had a solid performance in the 7th Grade Championship game where he helped pace the tempo of the game, penetrated the lane and made some nice plays. However it was his three-pointers that made a big difference hitting 4-of-9 from beyond the arc and scoring 16 points with 2 assists in the title win.

HARLOND BEVERLY - 2021 - G - REACH LEGENDS
Beverly had an outstanding game for REACH in their close loss in the Silver Championship. The quick young guard hit 4 three’s in the game at a high percentage, but also made several other baskets with scores in transition and hit some other shots en route to dropping 24 points, along with 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals.

BRYANT BROWN - 2019 - F - FUTURE ELITE
Brown had a steady game for Future Elite as they took home the Silver Championship title. The versatile forward did some good work around the hoop and finishing plays off, but also showed he can step out and shoot it, hitting a three in the game. He rebounded hard also, putting up 14 points and 6 rebounds in the contest.

MARCUS EDWARDS - 2019 - PG - KINGDOM HOOPS ELITE
Edwards fired in 14 points in the Gold Championship game with some good shooting from beyond the arc and making some other nice plays off the dribble. Edwards knocked down some tough shots and did a nice job defensively getting after it and coming away with 3 steals. He buried 3 treys in the game.

MARCUS FUQUA - 2019 - G - REACH LEGENDS
Fuqua made some excellent plays for REACH in their bid to come out with a Silver Championship. Though they lost in a close game, Fuqua was another bright spot for the team as he scored in a variety of ways and was all over the rebounds for his team. Defensively he also made plays, getting 2 steals and a pair of blocks in the game, while finishing with 16 points and 8 rebounds.

XZAVIER JONES - 2019 - PF - PLAYGROUND ELITE
Jones played a really good all-around game for Playground Elite as they took home a Gold title Sunday. The 6-3, 2019 prospect played from the inside with hard work and also showed his skill set, handling the ball and little and making some nice passes to teammates. He just missed a double-double scoring 9 points with 11 rebounds, and contributed 3 assists and 3 steals along with 3 free throws.

ZACH HARVEY - 2019 - SG - KC POWERGROUP
Harvey had himself a heck of a championship game offensively as he did his best to help his team stay in the game against the eventual champs. The slick shooting guard shot the ball well from outside, hitting 3 of his 7 triple attempts, scored at the line hitting 3-for-4, and made some other nice shots and lay-ups, scoring 20 points and giving his team a chance down to the final buzzer.

DEONTAY LONG - 2019 - F - MILWAUKEE SPARTANS
Long was again in beast-mode during the Championship game, making 12-of-14 shots and dominating the game from the interior mostly. The 6-3 forward hit bucket after bucket and grabbed several rebounds to secure possessions for the Spartans. Long finished the tournament on top, scoring 28 points with 8 rebounds.

TREMAYNE MARTIN - 2019 - G - FUTURE ELITE
Martin was at his best Sunday in Future Elite’s pair of games, eventually leading his team to a Silver Championship win. The fast-footed guard had 12 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists with 2 three-pointers made in their first game, and then in the Championships game he doubled up on points with 24 having hit 4-of-7 from downtown, and took his game to another level, ripping in 7 rebounds, shelling out another 4 assists and 3 steals.

JORDAN WHITE - 2019 - F - KC POWERGROUP
White was steady for KC PowerGroup throughout the tournament and continued that trend in the title game, making plays offensively and being a force rebounding the ball. The 6-0 forward hit some short shots and went to the basket hard, making 3-of-4 from the free throw line. He pulled down 11 rebounds and completed the double-double with 11 points as KC made a late run before falling by one point to the Spartans.
