In terms of big weeks for commitment announcements go, last week is perhaps one of the biggest ever, and that came in one big day. On Friday, November 15th, top prospects Jahlil Okafor, Tyus Jones, Cliff Alexander, Stanley Johnson and Satchel Pierce all announced their college plans, and Quentin Snider also remade his original verbal commitment. COMMITMENTS
2014 SG Avery Patterson of Wheeler H.S. (GA) verbally committed to play collegiately at Western Kentucky on Monday, November 11th. He played for Game Elite on the grassroots circuit.
2014 PG Aleksa Jugovic of Hamilton Heights Christian Academy (TN) verbally committed to Tennessee Tech on Tuesday, November 12th.
UAB earned itself a verbal commitment from 2014 PF William Lee of Dallas County H.S. (AL) on Tuesday. Lee played with the Alabama Challenge during the grassroots season.
2014 PF Jackson Davis of Lafayette (KY) verbally committed to Rice on Saturday. Davis played with the Kentucky Travelers and Louisville Magic during the grassroots travel season.
American got on the board in the 2014 class with a verbal commitment Monday from G Alex Paquin of Champlain College Saint-Lambert (Canada). Paquin competed with Brockwood Bounce Elite during the travel season.
2014 SG Sterling Christy of Williamsport H.S. (MD) verbally committed on Wednesday, November 13th to Radford. Christy competed on the grassroots scene with Baltimore’s Finest during the travel season.
BYU became the benefactor of a change of heart Wednesday as 2014 PF Payton Dastrup of Mountain View H.S. (AZ) flipped his commitment to the Cougars. Dastrup played with Cal Supreme during the grassroots travel season.
Virginia Tech struck on the trail with 2014 SG Antonio Lang of McGill-Toolen Catholic H.S. (AL) who verbally committed to the Hokies on Wednesday. Lang played with Game Elite during the grassroots season.
Long Beach State landed a verbal commitment from 2014 G Deontae North of Centennial H.S. (CA) on Wednesday. He played for the Compton Magic on the grassroots circuit.
2014 PG Zaynah Robinson of Duluth H.S. (GA) verbally committed on Wednesday to play at Norfolk State. Robinson played with the Southern Kings program during the grassroots season.
Top 5, Class of 2014 PF Cliff Alexander of Curie H.S. (IL) decided on Friday, November 15th that he would leave home next year to attend Kansas, giving his verbal commitment to the Jayhawks. Alexander competed with Mac Irvin Fire on the grassroots circuit this travel season.
Coveted 2014 SF Stanley Johnson of Mater Dei (CA) ended a lot of speculation of where he would attend, announcing his verbal commitment to Arizona on Friday. The 5-star prospect played with the Oakland Soldiers program during the grassroots travel season.
In one of the most anticipated package deals in recent memory, 2014 PG Tyus Jones of Apple Valley H.S. (MN) and 2014 C Jahlil Okafor of Whitney Young H.S. (IL), both Top 5 prospects, announced their intent to attend Duke the following year, verbally committing to the Blue Devils on Friday. Jones played for Howard Pulley and Okafor for Mac Irvin Fire respectively during the grassroots travel season.
The Golden Eagles landed 2014 C Satchel Pierce of Kiski School (PA) who gave his verbal commitment to Marquette on Friday. Pierce played with the Ohio Phenoms and the Ohio Basketball Club during the grassroots travel season.
2014 PG Quentin Snider of Ballard H.S. (KY) previously de-committed from Louisville but recommitted Friday to the Cardinals. Snider competed with the Louisville Magic grassroots program during the travel season.

Troy received a verbal commitment on Sunday, November 17th from 2014 SF Christian Harrison of Woodward Academy (GA).
2014 SF Maurice Rivers of Columbia H.S. (GA) verbally committed to Rice on Sunday. He played on the Q6 All-Stars program during the grassroots travel season.
Utah gets another commitment, this time in the 2015 class as SF Noah Togiai of Hunter H.S. (UT) verbally committed to the Utes on Sunday.
2014 C Isaac Haas of Hokes Bluff School (AL) committed to Purdue on Monday. Haas played with the Atlanta Celtics and the Alabama Challenge during the grassroots travel season.

The annual NY2LA Sports Classic will take place on December 14, 2013 at Homestead High School in Mequon, Wisconsin.
