One of the top available seniors in the Midwest that is drawing plenty of college interest for himself is Basheer Jihad. Jihad is a 6’8” forward at North Farmington High School (MI).

At this point Jihad already has six scholarship offers. Oakland University was the first school to offer him over a year ago. Since then Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Miami (OH), Toledo, and Youngstown State have also extended an offer to him.

“All of the schools that offered have made it clear that education and basketball is important,” Jihad stated on if any of these schools are standing out to him right now.

The biggest thing the Jihad is looking for in his future basketball program is one that can help his game. “I’m looking for somewhere where I can keep improving. Every year I can go back and look how much I have improved…Just somewhere where I’m allowed to keep improving and reach my full potential,” Jihad said.

At this time, Jihad has no timeline on when he would like to make his college decision. Though the senior is looking to make a commitment when he feels confident in a coaching staff and program.
