The NY2LA Sports Top 40 Fall League hit the hardwood and a number of talented prospects from Wisconsin and Illinois made their presence felt.  Earlier this week we took a look at the 1st and 2nd Team All-League Selections, today we continue on with a look at the 3rd Team All-League Selections from this past fall…

Note – You will have to have played a minimum of (2) weeks for consideration

2020 NY2LA SPORTS TOP 40 FALL LEAGUE – 3RD TEAM ALL-LEAGUE
Donald McHenry – 6’1 – 2021 - PG – Milwaukee Academy of Science (WI)

27.75 FIPG (10) – 11.25 MPG (11) – 14 EPG (6)
16.25 PPG (14) – 4 APG (8) – 3 SPG (1)

An ultra-quick instinctive guard, McHenry has an attack first mentality and he showed improved playmaking skills this fall.  He posted top 15 marks in multiple categories while leading the league in steals per game.  He was efficient, dominant, and contributed game in and game out on both ends of the floor.  He’s has legitimate Division 1 high Division 2 game, quickness, and athleticism and his best basketball is in front of him.

Prentice Young Jr. – 6’3 – 2023 - PG – Wisconsin Lutheran (WI)
26 FIPG (12) – 9.17 MPG (14) – 9.83 EPG (18)
15.17 PPG (18) – 6 RPG (16) – 1.83 SPG (4)

One of the talented 2023 prospects in the state of Wisconsin, Young continues to make his mark on the hardwood and this fall he was solid once again.  He is exceptional prospect defensively with his size, length, and strength and his ability to guard multiple positions.  Offensively he attacks off the bounce and he’s continuing to develop his playmaking ability.  He posted solid top 20 category numbers of most of the major categories while playing up against 2021 and 2022 prospects weekly.

Grant Asman – 6’10 – 2021 - F – Kimberly (WI)
25.5 FIPG (15) – 10.25 MPG (9) – 12.75 EPG (9)
14.5 PPG (20) – 7.25 RPG (7) – 1.25 BPG (3)

The Lipscomb commit continued to show why he’s regarded as one of the biggest sleepers in the Midwest.  He posted top 15 marks in a number of categories and was among the top 20 in scoring.  He can finish at all levels, he has excellent range, and his plus length allows him to finish above opposing defenders and above the rim.  He was solid in terms of his overall production and he did it in an efficient fashion.

Donavan Short – 6’10” – 2022 - F/C – Denmark (WI)
25.17 FIPG (16) – 9.17 EPG (24)
18 PPG (7) – 4.83 RPG (24)

One of the talented up and coming bigs in the Midwest, Short is a versatile and athletic scoring big who can finish at each level.  He runs the floor well, he has plus bounce for a big, and he is agile in the same sense.  His back to the basket game is steadily improving and he can face up from beyond the arc.  He posted top 25 marks in multiple categories and was among the top 10 in scoring during the league.

Brennan Timm – 6’5 – 2021 - F – St. Johns NWMA (WI)
24.75 FIPG (24.75 (17) – 10.25 MPG (10) – 9.75 EPG (20)
13.75 PPG (24) – 7.75 RPG (3)

A blue collar max effort type forward, Timm fills the box score and he brings effort to both sides of the floor.  His game is around the basket and out to the mid-range level but he has improved his jumper over the past six months as well so he does have range beyond the arc.  He posted top 20 marks in most of the major categories and was in the top 5 for rebounding.  A do it all forward, Timm had a great fall league performance that was consistent and dominant throughout.
