With another strong field of teams in the 16U field, the competition for each of these has become more and more difficult to achieve.

Donovan Brown – AIA – G
Brown was very good moving to the basket getting into the paint often to score and distribute. The point guard has good handle and moves to go along with his quickness that was giving defenders plenty of issues trying to stick with him. Smart decision maker with the ball that always seemed to know where to go with it.

Learic Davis – TH 2022 – G/F
Davis is an athletic and active wing with size at 6’7” that is able to contribute in a number of ways. He took advantage of his opportunities with the ball getting to the basket with his long strides and finished. Very tough defender out on the perimeter as he is able to get all over ball handlers with his size but has the quickness to stick with them.

Amari Jedkins – TH 2022 – F
The 6’7’ uber athletic forward brought excellent energy, toughness, and activity to the court game in and game out this past weekend.  He rebounds the ball well, runs the floor, is excellent finishing in transition and he showed a solid ability to score around the basket on a variety of put backs and finishes off dribble penetration.  Really fun to watch play.

Darrien Long – Gallo Sports Center – F
An athletic 6’5” forward who is very active on the floor to make a big impact in the game. Scores it well around the paint in addition to hitting some jumpers from the mid-range. He plays big defending the middle and was all over the glass.

Chikere Nwosu – Illinois Future – G
Nwosu is a tough and strong 6’2” guard that does a number of things on the court to contribute. His biggest impact came on the defensive side of the ball. He is a tough perimeter defender that puts good pressure on the ball without getting beat. As well he added several buckets around the basket, rebounds well for a guard, and made some good passes.

Carter Olson – Wisconsin Swing Bresden – G
Skilled two-way point guard that gets plenty done on the court. Smart decision maker with the ball in his hands as well as a skilled passer who did a good job of moving the ball. Good handle and able to deal with ball pressure.  May not put up big points, but makes everyone around him better.

Donovan Short – TH 2022 – F/C
The emerging big showed some solid defensive activity this weekend while also scoring on the block with more consistency and knocking down the perimeter jump shot on occasion.  Just starting to take off, Short delivered one of his more consistent weekend on both ends to help his team to a 4-0 mark over the course of the two days.
