As 2021 prospects go a number of them are continuing to build their resume and one talented lead guard on the rise is Anton Brookshire of Kickapoo in Springfield, Missouri.

A 6-0 155 pound prospect who checks all the boxes skill wise and instinctively, Brookshire has electrified crowds in Missouri this season with consistently dominant efforts regardless of the competition.  Christ the King HC Joe Arbitello commented that “Brookshire might be the best point guard his team has played all season and they’ve played guys who are going to Florida and Gonzaga.”  That was after an electric performance at the 2020 Bass Pro Tournament of Champions. The talented junior doubled down with a 33 point performance against national powerhouse Oak Hill the same weekend.

He can score, create, and control and he makes sound, efficient, quality decisions with the ball in his hands.  A potential high major caliber guard, schools are beginning to take notice.  He holds offers from Missouri State, Bradley, UIC, Texas State, and UW-Milwaukee with Pittsburgh, Missouri, Iowa State, Michigan State, and Creighton expressing interest recently.  As schools turn their focus from the 2020 class directly to the 2021 class look for Brookshire’s status to elevate and potentially soar quickly.

He plays with the Yanders Law program during the grassroots travel season.
