Morgan Park and Notre Dame are set to lock up at the City Suburban Shootout later today.  Here’s a quick look at some of the top prospects set to be on the hardwood in this electric matchup…

MORGAN PARK
ADAM MILLER - 6’4 - SG - (ILLINOIS)
Miller is the leader of this Mustangs team. Everyone knows what a threat he is to score the rock. He is an athletic finisher at the rim and is a sniper from deep. He is one of the clear favorites for Illinois Mr. Basketball and this game could be a statement for voters of the prestigious award.

MARCUS WATSON JR. - 5’11 - PG - (WAKE FOREST) Not sure if you will find a better passer in the senior class than Watson. The senior continues to impress and fights his way into the middle of defenses to find open teammates in the corners. He is a steal for the Demon Deacons and is going to be a major player in this one.

ISAIAH BURRELL - 6’5 - SF - UNCOMMITTED Burrell has become a main cog for the Mustangs. He is an extremely physical player and is always willing to get on the floor. He comes from a great basketball background and continues every time I watch him.

BRANDON WESTON - 6’4 - SG - UNCOMMITTED Weston is new to Morgan Park this year but he has fit right in. The junior continues to make his impact felt as he has shown why he is a HM D1 prospect. He shoots it well from deep and is a great leaper off two feet.

DARRIN AMES - 6’0 - PG - UNCOMMITTED Ames is a really smooth lefty that plays a lot like Marcus Watson Jr., Ames will continue to get better as he grows but he has already shown that he can compete with the best of them.

JJ TAYLOR - 6’7 - SG - UNCOMMITTED Taylor is one of the finest young prospects in the state and country. The long and lanky G/F shows the ability to post up on the block and he can shoot it from deep. I expect him to be a major contributor in this one.

NOTRE DAME
JASON BERGSTROM - 6’4 - SF - (ILLINOIS-SPRINGFIELD)
Bergstrom was a nice pick up for the Illinois-Springfield. The senior is a sharpshooter from deep and continues to develop his game. A couple years from now he has the chance to be a very special D2 player at UIS.

TROY D’AMICO - 6’7 - PF - UNCOMMITTED D’Amico is turning into a really nice prospect, he holds plenty of D1 offers and it doesn't look like those offers are going to stop coming in anytime soon. D’Amico is a long and rangy forward with a nice stroke. If the Dons can get him some touches on the block in this one they will have a good chance to take down the Mustangs.

ANTHONY SAYLES - 6’2 - PG - UNCOMMITTED Sayles is one of my favorite players to watch. He is explosive off two feet and loves finding contact when finishing at the rim. With that being said, by no means is he one dimensional. He can also shoot it from deep and defend on an elite level when engaged.

LOUIS LESMOND - 6’6 - SF - UNCOMMITTED Lesmond is becoming one of the most prized prospects in the country. Big Ten schools have been all over him and I expect this interest to increase as the year rolls along. After putting on weight the young Frenchman can score on all three levels. He is going to be the Mustangs main focus.
